POSITION STATEMENT
Educators located in the Seton Hill School District know how important
it is to have a well-balanced curriculum in order to give our students a well-balance education. We like many other school
districts teach Math, Science, Social Studies, Language Arts, English, Physical Education, and Health. However, we also integrate
Music, Art, and Theatre into our curriculum.
We believe that aesthetic education is a way not only for students
to express themselves, but it is a way for the students to learn through the arts. We have learned through many years of research
that all students are able to learn. The difficult part is finding the strategy that works best for each student.
Aesthetic education as a discipline develops skills, attitudes, and
most importantly knowledge, which are practical and applicable to all aspects of life regardless of future aspirations. We
feel that the development of these attributes that are brought about from this intrinsic form of learning should be applied
to all curriculums.
